I just had the friendliest call I've ever had with any production company, ever. It was a pleasant woman with a Southern accent at The King of the Hill. On the last TV pilot I worked on, the producers had another project ordered to series. I gave everyone connected a copy of my resume and a spec script. Everyone seemed very friendly and receptive. As of about 15 minutes ago, I have literally contacted every new TV show pilot being made by the major and semi-major networks. Here's how the numbers breakdown:

100 pilots

78 could theoretically employ me (the other 22 are either outside of LA, are still in development, or have been recently shelved), although of that 78, many have already ( Read more... )

Ahead of my expectations, I contacted (or attempted to contact) 46 shows today. Of those, I was able to fax a cover/resume to 14 of them. The rest either didn't have a production office created yet, were outside of Los Angeles, or I couldn't locate a number for them.
